It offers me immense pleasure to hail you all on behalf of the Government Post Graduate College, Thalisain. Since its existence in the year 2001, the institute has made its constant effort to establish itself as the pillar of learning for more than 150 nearby villages. Situated at the foothills of DudhatoliRanges, the college is surrounded by greenery from all sides which maintains its aura and contributes to create tranquil ambience which is apt for learning. With an aim to impart holistic education, the teaching fraternity seeks to develop human values which help in nurturing comprehensive personality of the students. They are also engaged in the teaching-learning process in a way that helps to develop personal as well as collective responsibility among them. Moreover, the extra-curricular activities enrich the student with various learning experiences, which encourage them to look beyond theoretical knowledge. Presently the college is offering the UG courses in the Arts as well as the Sciencestream. The PG courses in four subjects, i.e., Hindi, English, Political Science and Sociology have also started from the academic session 2019-2020.

Intending to increase the employability, the college is also looking forward to start various skill- oriented courses as per the guidelines of the Higher Education, Uttarakhand. With the new technological advancements, the institute is aiming to set new standards in the field of academics.
